We have seen a slew of state side Saucony collaborations recently and earlier this month saw the first of this years UK offerings with 2 colourways from the retailer Offspring. Now its time for some northern exposure with UK’s very own End Clothing. This offering from Saucony and End takes the Saucony Shadow 5000 and gives it a gourmet burger twist.
Saucony do not hold back in using top quality materials, and it is no different with this latest release. The upper comes with perforated nubuck and suede with hints of leather. There is also a woven tongue with, insoles that come with dual branding, which I think would be the same as with previous Saucony collabs. There does not seem to be any End Clothing branding on the shoe itself but they do have an interesting twist to add that little personal touch. These do not come in your normal sneaker box. These will come in a custom box which takes inspiration from the traditional burger packaging. I think it would have been great if End would give a free burger with every purchase, but don’t keep your hopes up.
We all know you can customise your burger any which way you want, lettuce, no lettuce, burger sauce, mayo, ketchup, it entirely up to you. The Saucony x END. Shadow 5000 “Burger” is no different, earlier I mentioned that End have a little added extra. End are providing additional laces which come packaged in sealed and branded sauce sachets, so that you are able to add that little personal touch, just like a burger.
The Saucony x END. Shadow 5000 “Burger” which appear to be extremely limited, will release exclusively at a launch party at 6pm on Thursday 1 May 2014 at End followed by an online release on Saturday 3 May 2014.
