Liberty London, the famous department store based in London’s West End well known for their floral and graphic prints is once again collaborating with Nike to produce a range of womens footwear and apparel exclusively for the store for 2014.
The footwear collection consists of eight trainers in six Nike silhouettes which are the Roshe Run, Blazers, Dunk Sky Hi Wedge, Internationalist, Air Max 1 and Air Max 90.
The collection features three classic Liberty pattern designs from their archives. The floral themed Lora and Anoosha along with the Crown a paisley styled design are all seen in a blue and white color way which creates an oriental feel to the collaboration resembling fine china of the 19th century.
The whole collection has a rather feminine yet bold look to it because of the liberty designs and creates a sense of nostalgia as to where you might have seen those patterns earlier in life. To coincide with the trainer release a small number of womens apparel will accompany the Nike X Liberty collection. These include the Nike wind vest, shorts and wind runner jacket all of which have the Lora, Anoosha and Crown printed fabric on various sections on the garments.
Our personal favorites of the collection ,the Air Max 1 and Internationalist which unlike the other silhouettes have all three patterns featured on various parts of the textile upper accompanied with “rustic” style laces which complement these two trainers perfectly. These two models are truly epic and are going to sell out quick so don’t sleep!
The Collection will be available from online and instore at Liberty London from the 7th of April.
