The newest Reebok Insta Pump Fury comes as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations for the Insta Pump Fury that will see 27 different collaborative pairs released throughout 2014. The latest offering is a collaboration with UK’s End Clothing, a well respected retailer from the North East of England which is known for stocking fresh, relevant sneakers and apparel. This collaboration is aptly named “Claret”, the name coming from inspiration from fine wine. When the original pair first released, the Insta Pump Fury was like a sneaker from the future. Now, 20 years later it seems like the sneaker has just got better. Do sneakers really get better with age? Well, in the case of the Reebok Insta Pump Fury, I think they do.

When Pope John XXIII said the words “Men are like wine – some turn to vinegar, but the best improve with age.” I dont think he was taking about the Insta Pump Fury, but i guess it sort of brings everything about this sneaker together.

The colourway resembles that of red wine. The ‘Claret’ of the Insta Pump Fury features deep burgundy and red  uppers with a perforaed toe box. We can make out gold foil branding to the heel, and we can also see cork insoles, possibly the same style insoles that we saw in the BAIT x Saucony Shadow Original ‘Cruel World’. The Insta Pump Fury it topped off with bottle-green which takes inspiration from a wine bottle.

The END x Reebok Insta Pump Fury ‘Claret’ will be launching at End Clothing Saturday 15th March 2014 priced at £139 GBP, to get your hands on these follow the link below.
