The Adidas Consortium EQT (Equipment) range were trainers that met the needs of the everyday runner when released in the early 90’s. It was a runner the incorporated what Adidas called the Torsion System, which was to provide support to the midfoot while on different terrains.

As has been the case recently, we have seen many OG trainers make a comeback, some for the better, some maybe should have not bothered. For those of us who preferred trainers the way they were, you may be impressed with the re-release of the Running Cushion OG and the Running Support 93.

Adidas has kept what has worked for them and not changed much with the re-release of these runners. One of the things that has changed or should I say improved, is the Torsion System. As the years have passed Adidas has obviously been able to adapt their technology to benefit those of us like to run, wherever it maybe.

In addition to the improved Torsion, every other aspect of this OG trainer has been restored. Each shoe returns in OG colourways of grey/green for the Cushion and grey/red for the Support as well as a special Consortium edition of the Support in premium black nubuck and suede. This may well be an opportunity for those of us who love our OG trainers to get our hands on a long awaited re-release.
